Rescue mission for Sochi Strays

Animal rights activists have worked fervently to rescue the thousands of strays from the streets of Sochi, Russia – the host city of the 2014 Winter Olympics. Ten dogs arrived in Washington, D.C. yesterday, and more are expected to arrive in the U.S. in the next few days. According to Forbes, the rescue mission was conducted by billionaire Oleg Deripaska’s shelter, PovoDog, along with Humane Society International and the Washington Animal Rescue League.
